Joseph Pilates, the creator of Pilates, once said that anyone who is stiff and out of shape at 30 is old, while someone who is supple and strong at 60 is still young. There’s something to be said about that.
The health of our spine is directly related to the age of our body, if your spine is weak and always in pain it will age your entire body. Stretching and strengthening of the muscles, while simultaneously pulling the bones and joints of the skeletal system helps to stabilize and realign the spine and bring the body back to its natural state. Pilates works to realign the spine while correcting the muscular imbalances throughout the body to bring you back to a natural state of alignment.
